The Thermo Scientific NanoDrop uses patented sample retention technology (surface tension) to make small volume fluorescent measurements. The uniquely clean optics of the retention system, combined with proprietary signal processing for the White LED applications, enables measurements across a wide range of wavelengths using sample volumes of 1–2 ul without cuvettes and costly filter changes.
